Mr. Jesse L. Terry passed away on November 18, 2017 at Oakview Manor. Funeral service will be held on November 25, 2017 at New Summer Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Daleville, Alabama where the Rev. Joel Warren is the Pastor. Services will be at 11:00 o'clock with the interment immediately following at the New Summer Hill Cemetery. Jesse L. Terry was the son of the late Rev. Isaac Otis Terry, Sr. and the late Stella Mae Colson-Terry. Jesse grew up in the church. He was taught music by Lucy Loman and played the guitar for many years in various Gospel Groups. He also was a Master Barber until his health declined.

Jesse was preceded in death by six brothers: Colson, Isaac, J.L., Grover, Homer, and Otis J.; Two sister: Mary Jane and Equella. He leaves to cherish his loving memories his daughter, Latecia Terry(Wayne Williams) of Rochester, NY. Three grandchildren: Wallace Rahmaan, Jr., Catera McDaniels-Williams, Cardeay McDaniels-Williams of Rochester, NY and step-children Torri Poindexter of Tampa, FL and Tiera Poindexter of Rochester, NY, and a special friend Myrtie Poindexter. Two brothers: James and Richard Terry both of Daleville, AL. Two sisters: Lois Rowe of Detroit, MI and Ossie Mae Terry-Dickson of Daleville, AL. Three sister-in-laws: Polly R. Magwood of Newton, AL, Mary P. Terry and Val Terry both of Daleville, AL. One brother-in-law, Royal Dickson of Daleville, AL.

Jesse was so blessed to have a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends that meant so much to him.
