Jerome Tyrone Crittenden

April 4, 1948 ~ July 5, 2018 (age 70)

Mr. Tyrone "Tampa Ty" Crittenden was born onApril 4, 1948 to the late Harvey "Pop"Crittenden and Mary Emma Hawkins Crittenden. He wasa member of Greater Sardis Missionary Baptist Church anda 1966 graduate of D. A. Smith High School. As a youth, he was a member of the Boy Scouts of America.  As an adult, he was a member of the Concerned Citizens of Ozark, Carroll High School Boys Basketball Booster Club, anda R. A. Smith Alumni Association. 

He never met astranger and was well known. Seems like everybody knew "Tampa Ty". He was friendly, upbeat, and wity. He was fun to be around and had a multitude of friends all over the world who lov3d him. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ruby Crittenden and Roberta Crittenden-Beaty; and niece, LaToya Box. He leaves to cherish his memories to his only child, his loving and devoted daughter, Shawn Crittenden (Lowell) Allen of Atlanta, Atlanta, GA/Ozark, AL; two granddaughters who were his pride and joy, Janae Crittenden and Tiara Crittenden (Myles) Wickliffe; two great-granddaughters (twins), Aris Elizabeth Crittenden and Bella Elise Crittenden (he was a very proud great-granddaddy!); one sister, Mae Box of Colorado Springs, CO; one aunt, Robbie Hawkins of Eufaula, AL; four nieces, Marilyn (Donald) Bohanan of Albany, GA, Gloria (Danny)  Hill of Chicago, ILKnox of Ozark, AL, Carolyn Hill of Chicago, IL, and Nicole Washington of Colorado Springs, CO; two nephews, Keith Sistrunk of Troy, AL and Michael Sistrunk of Ozark, AL; a host of great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and friends to include a friend and brother, Johnny Trawick; and special friends, Ms. Jackson, Gene Lynn, Jessie DuBose, Lee Curtis Shipman, Len Stanford, John T. Crawley, Jr. (Nephew), Etta Mae Stokes, Anna Phillips, Reatha Gissendanner, Ms. Hillard, Rachel, and Fannie's Restaurant (Wayne & Necy North). 

"Tampa Ty" will be truly missed by all who knew him.
